Smiling Newborn Baby Boy Sleeping In A Rustic CrateWe live in a digital age where wearable gadgets are taking a different dimension. There are watches which record the number of steps we’ve taken, wristbands which monitor how we sleep, and smartphones which determine our heart rate. Isn’t it quite interesting where we’ve gotten too?

In this article, I will introduce you to some smart baby thermometers which will definitely blow your mind.

3 Smart Baby Thermometers

1. TempTraq

TempTraq is a thin, flexible, bluetooth-enabled thermometer capable of providing continuous 24-hour data on the temperature of kids, children and even adults. It’s adhesiveness makes it capable of sticking to the skin and it’s waterproof too. Too much moisture, however, makes it lose its adhesiveness.

It works with an iOS or Android app which receives real-time data from the thermometer and presents you with color coded graphs and alerts you if your child’s temperature reaches a certain level. It specializes a thin, flexible, printed battery technology, making it comfortable on your kids skin.

Temptraq is tested by an FCC certified lab. It doesn’t emit radiation which can affect the health of your child. It’s disposable and not rechargeable but definitely gives an upper hand to busy and tech-savvy parents.

Temptraq’s 24-hour smart thermometer costs $24.99 per unit.

2. Kinsa Smart Thermometer

The Kinsa Smart Thermometer is a huge redesign of the regular, old-school thermometer we all know. It uses the smartphone as a leverage to process temperature data much faster and in an interactive manner.

All you need to do is to do the initial setup, tap the method of measurement, and follow the prompts. Kinsa is made up two parts – A  blue stem with a metallic sensor at the tip where you put in your kids mouth and a 3.5mm audio plug which you insert into your iPhone or Android device.

The extension cable (which can also be used with an earphone) provided with the product enables you to see the screen even clearly.

The mobile app displays beautiful animations which take your kids attention when their temperature is being taken. It takes up to 12 seconds to record temperatures via the mouth, rectum or armpit.

It also gives you real-time access to health trends, illnesses and symptoms being reported in your area.

Kinsa Smart Thermometer has no battery, processor or display. It comes with an adapter for calibration and has mobile app available for iOS and Android devices. Kinsa sells at $29.99 and ships within the US only.

3. iFever

Vispose’s iFever is another innovative wearable thermometer which takes the form of a thermometer. iFever gives parents 24-hour monitoring on their kids temperature.

The iFever smartphone app draws a temperature curve table with the data it receives and this can serve as a reference basis for the doctor. It also allows the recording of baby drugs and fever information.

It has a high-temperature alarm when your kids temperature rises to a certain level. The thermometer transfers temperature data to a smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

Unlike the other smart thermometers, it comes with a replaceable battery. iFever costs $39.99 and the Android and iOS versions are available for free.
