4 Alternatives to sending more than 5 photos at once in iOS 10

July 10, 2017 by Anna Vince Leave a Comment

You’d think that Apple’s software is top-notch and provides the best possible user experience across all platforms but alas, it’s still got a long list of problems. Don’t get us wrong, we still think iOS does a great job of providing easy-to-use features but there’s one issue that we can’t seem to wrap our head around and that’s why can’t we mail more than 5 photos in the native Mail app of iOS 10?

iOS 9 actually fixed this problem but for some strange reason, Apple decided to return the limitation. Whatever the reason, you’d think that in this day and age Apple would be able to find a solution to whatever that’s causing it. Thankfully, we’re here to offer you some alternatives so that you won’t need to worry about mailing more than 5 pictures at once.

4 Alternatives to sending more than 5 photos at once in iOS 10

1. AirDrop

This is a quick, short-distance fix to sending photos. If you’re an iOS user and you don’t know what AirDrop is you’re seriously missing out on some of your iDevice’s greatest features. It utilizes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to send photos to other iDevices but you need to be near each other for it to work.

Obviously you won’t be able to use this feature if you’re looking to send photos to someone in a different time zone but it’s still very handy in certain situations. To use it, simply open up the Control Center and activate Airdrop to be seen by everyone (you need to make sure also the person you’re sending to has their Airdrop activated). Go to your photos, select which ones you want to send, tap the options button on the lower right, and click the icon of the device you wish to send the photos to.

2. Third Party App

The native Mail app of iOS 10 doesn’t let you mail more than 5 photos at once so what do you do? Get a different mail app in the App Store! There are various alternative mail apps that are so much better than the native one in your iDevice. We’ll give you 2 app recommendations and highlight their features (besides being able to send more than 5 photos) for better appreciation.

3. Alto

This is probably one of the best alternative mail apps out there right now because it can hold multiple e-mail accounts (Google, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) with ease and its interface is highly organized.

Navigating through your different e-mail accounts is hassle-free and can be done with a swipe of a finger and what’s great is that you can mail more than 5 photos!

4. Gmail

This is a no-brainer. Gmail remains one of the most stable and reliable mail apps out there. So if you’re getting frustrated with the native Mail app found in your iDevice, it’s a great idea to head to the App Store and download Gmail.

It’s clean, simple, and you get to mail more than 5 photos. It also integrates perfectly with all Google services and you can even edit a document directly within Google Docs.

Don’t get us wrong, we think iOS 10 is great and excels in a lot of areas but it has its shortcomings. Good thing they continuously update their software in order improve it. Here’s to hoping they fix more issues! Because if they don’t it could be a bad omen and may mean that Apple failing is an actual possibility.

An alternative to sending more than 5 photos at once in iOS 10, what do you think?
