If you are looking for parental controls, iPad Mini apps or software, then keep reading.
We will be listing some great tips for getting parental control features on your device.
Whether you have a lot of money to invest in the best software, or you’d like to avoid spending money at all costs, there is a solution for you.
We’ll break it down into different price ranges below.
Parental Controls – iPad Mini – No Cost Solutions
If you want to spend absolutely nothing on parental controls for your iPad Mini, there are two options you could root for, both of which have been listed below.
iPad Mini Restrictions
On any iPad or iPhone with iOS 8 or higher, you will find certain parental controls within the settings menu.
Whilst the basic parental control features are very simple, they do provide a small amount of control over the content you can control.
To find the iPad Mini app restrictions, you must go to settings>general>restrictions. From here, you can turn restrictions on and off. Once on, you can choose which apps and content types to block or allow.
MamaBear
If you want a better option than the stock iOS parental control features, you may want to look into MamaBear. This is a free parental control service that is in open beta.
It provides features for social media control and GPS tracking. Whilst it is free at the moment, you may notice a few issues here and there because the app is not yet completely bug free.
Parental Controls – iPad Mini – Cheap Solutions
If you aren’t interested in using any of the above apps for free, then you may want to look at different solutions.
Below, we have suggested a couple of different apps. These do have a subscription fee, but they provide a much better service than the no cost solutions listed above.
ParentKit
ParentKit allows you to schedule access to different apps and block off certains apps or content completely.
If you want to view exactly what is being done on the internet or social media, but also want to stop your child from using their device at certain times, ParentKit will be useful to you. Unfortunately ParentKit does cost $24.99 per six months of use.
Mobile Guardian
Mobile Guardian costs around $3 a month depending on what subscription you opt for, and it provides you with an in-depth web dashboard that you can use to monitor your iPad Mini activity.
With this app you are able to block certain websites and applications, and also what apps and websites are being used. You also have full control over the contacts on the device across different messaging apps, and you can set up a timetable system to block apps at different times.
Parental Controls – iPad Mini – High Tier Solutions
If neither of the cheap or no cost solutions fit your needs, you may want to find a high tier solution that provides you with the best parental control features around.
We’d suggest taking a look at monitoring software – with this you can view everything your child does and even block some content in some cases.
After reading Parental Controls – iPad Mini, which solution seems like the best option for you?
